BOULDER, Colo. - Starting Pac-12 play in the mountains, No. 13 Stanford won the doubles point and dominated singles play to defeat Colorado 6-1 on Friday morning.
Connie Ma and Valencia Xu won the first doubles match, and after dropping court two, Angelica Blake and Alexis Blokhina sealed the first point on court one, 6-2.
In singles, every Stanford victory was a straight-set affair, with the only loss coming from Blokhina on court four, having to retire in the second set.
No player from Stanford was pushed beyond giving up four games in a set, with Alexandra Yepifanova winning first, followed by Blake and clinched by Ma. Sara Choy and Xu rounded out the six point total for the Cardinal.
