STANFORD, Calif. - Following successful showings at the 2023 Winter Cup, Stanford gymnasts are set to represent Team USA in international competition starting this week.
The FIG Apparatus World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, slated for March 9-12, will see current Cardinal Riley Loos and former Cardinal Curran Phillips and Blake Sun competing. Phillips won 2023 Winter Cup titles on horizontal bar and parallel bars, where Sun was second. Loos picked up still rings silver. Both Phillips and Sun still train on The Farm after graduating last year.
The DTB Pokal Team Challenge and Mixed Cup March 17-19 in Stuttgart, Germany, will feature fifteen U.S. athletes in men's, women's and mixed competition. Stanford's Brody Malone and Asher Hong will join Yul Moldauer, Fred Richard and Shane Wiskus in men's competition. In the DTB Pokal Mixed Cup, the U.S. will be represented by Stanford's Jeremy Bischoff, along with Nola Matthews, Elle Mueller, Addison Fatta, Landon Blixt and Isaiah Drake. Two men and two women will compete per apparatus.
