SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – No. 5 Stanford men's golf finished third at the 2023 Goodwin presented by Palo Alto Networks. The event was contested at TPC Harding Park and the Cardinal finished with a three-round total of 1-over 839. No. 13 Oklahoma won the event at 18-under.
Senior Barclay Brown led the Cardinal with a 1-under 209 and finished tied for 11th. He shot a 4-under 66 on Thursday in the first round, and finished with an even-par 70 on Saturday. Three other Cardinal - Dean Greyserman, Ethan Ng and Anton Ouyang - joined Brown with even-par 70s on Saturday, tying for the Cardinal's best round of the day.
Karl Vilips finished tied for 16th with an even-par 210, while Michael Thorbjornsen totaled a 1-over 211 to tie for 24th.
The Cardinal will close out its regular season, April 10-12, at the Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club. Stanford will then begin its postseason run by hosting Pac-12 Championshiips at Stanford Golf Course, April 28-30.
