Kremer Joins Fuller's Staff

STANFORD, Calif. – Jo Kremer has been named an assistant coach for the Stanford beach volleyball program, as announced on Wednesday by head coach Andrew Fuller.

Kremer comes to The Farm after spending a year as the assistant coach for the Tulane beach volleyball program. In New Orleans, Kremer helped lead the Green Wave to its most successful season ever, finishing ranked No. 17 nationally after matching its program record for wins in a single season (24-10 throughout the 2023 season).

"I am so fired up to have Jo joining our staff at Stanford," Fuller said. "Jo's passion for developing the whole human being stood out in our search. I can't wait for Jo to share her wealth of playing knowledge with the team, having competed at the highest levels of our game. Jo has developed an array of tools to help student athletes reach their peak performance, from mental skills training to on-court training structure. From current players, to recruits and alums, Jo's ability to relate to people is outstanding and she'll make a massive impact on our program!"

"I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Stanford beach volleyball program as the assistant coach", noted Kremer. "I enjoyed my first year as a collegiate coach at Tulane so much, and could not pass up the opportunity to come back to my home state of California and work with such an amazing, competitive team. I'm so excited to be working with Coach Fuller again, as I had a wonderful experience with him as my assistant coach when I played at USC. I cannot wait to work with the athletes after seeing them compete this year and continue the success the program has had! Go Card!"

During her time in the Big Easy, Kremer led all video and statistics responsibilities for the beach volleyball program while also organizing all team bonding activities and scheduling all meal needs for the Green Wave. She was an instrumental part of Tulane's coaching staff that saw three of its athletes earn All-C-USA Conference honors.

Kremer spent the summer of 2022 as the co-coach and chaperone for the USA Youth Beach Volleyball teams' trip to the Maccabi Games in Israel. During the three-and-a-half-week trip, she led her pairs to seven top-four medal finishes.

Before her time at Tulane, Kremer spent multiple years coaching some of the best high school and club indoor and beach volleyball teams in the nation. She had a multi-year stint at her alma mater Harvard-Westlake School, while also coaching at Bishop Montgomery High School and Cresent Beach Volleyball, Surfside Volleyball, and Better At Beach Clubs.

The Pacific Palisades, Calif. native had an incredible collegiate career on the sand, winning three national championships (NCAA: 2016, 2017; AVCA: 2015) with the University of Southern California Beach Volleyball team, including one season coached by Andrew Fuller (2015). She was named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year following her 2018 senior season and was a member of the NCAA All–Tournament team during the Women of Troy's national championship run in 2016. She spent one season as the libero for Notre Dame under former USC women's volleyball player Debbie Brown.

Kremer graduated from USC in May of 2018 with a degree in Communication.
