Preseason All-Pac-12 Team Opens in a new window

STANFORD, Calif. - Shane de Flores has been named a preseason All-Pac-12 selection the conference announced on Tuesday. It's his second All-Pac-12 honor after earning honorable mention at the conclusion of the 2022 fall season.

The redshirt sophomore is poised to play a big role in Stanford's offense this season after leading the team in goals (8) and points (20) last year. De Flores also added four assists on the season, helping Stanford to 2.37 assists per game, 15th-most in the NCAA.

Rising as high as No. 2 in the nation, Stanford was dominant in multiple statistical categories last season. Nationally, the Cardinal ranked 12th in goal differential (+27), 19th in corner kicks per game (6.53), 23rd in shots per game (15.11), 13th in shots on goal per game (6.95), 34th in team goals against average (.947), and 14th in shutout percentage (.474).

Nine different Cardinal soccer players recorded a game-winning goal last season, the most in the Pac-12. De Flores led the team in game-winning goals, tallying three.

No. 7 Stanford kicks off the 2023 season on Thursday in a top-10 battle against No. 8 Creighton at 3 p.m. at Cagan Stadium.
