CHRISTIAN McCAFFREY continued to dominate, leading the San Francisco 49ers past the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 and extending his National Football League rushing lead.
Seattle rookie Kyu Blu Kelly made his debut, becoming the 263rd Stanford alum to play in an NFL or American Football League regular-season game. Big performances by Atlanta center Drew Dalman, Minnesota defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, and Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson also were among the highlights from former Cardinal.

Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson caught two passes for 41 yards in the Seahawks' 37-31 overtime victory at Detroit. His 20-yarder to the Detroit 3-yard line in the third quarter set up a tying touchdown. And his 21-yarder to the 14 was Seattle's longest play on its winning overtime drive. Parkinson's gains were Seattle's second- and third-longest of the game. Seahawks' cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly was on kick coverage for three plays, making his NFL debut and becoming the 263rd Stanford alum to play in an NFL or American Football League regular-season game.

San Francisco starting running back Christian McCaffrey scored the opening touchdown on a 14-yard run and finished a 30-23 victory at the Los Angeles Rams with 20 carries for 116 yards. McCaffrey, who also caught three passes for 19 yards, leads all NFL rushers with 268 yards in two games. McCaffrey had the longest gain of the game – a 51-yard first-quarter run that set up a field goal.

Minnesota starting defensive tackle Harrison Phillips had 13 tackles, including seven solo, half a sack, and a quarterback hurry in the Vikings' 34-28 loss at Philadelphia on Thursday night.

Starting tight end Zach Ertz and starting receiver Michael Wilson combined for nine catches and 112 yards for Arizona in the Cardinals' 31-28 loss to the visiting New York Giants – accounting for nearly half of the Cardinals' 228 passing yards. Ertz had six catches for 56 yards and Wilson three for 56. Ertz' receptions contributed to three Cardinal scoring drives and Wilson's 21-yarder helped set up Arizona's first touchdown. Bobby Okereke started at middle linebacker for New York and had eight tackles, including five solo, and a tackle for loss.

Kansas City starting safety Justin Reid had six tackles, including five solo, in the Chiefs' 17-9 victory at Jacksonville. On each series in which Reid had a tackle, the Jaguars failed to score. Walker Little started at left offensive tackle for Jacksonville and played 66 snaps on offense and three on placekicks.

Atlanta starting center Drew Dalman helped the Falcons rush for 211 yards on the way to a 25-24 victory over visiting Green Bay. Dalman played 82 snaps and earned a 78.8 overall rating by Pro Football Focus – the fourth-highest among centers – and an 83.3 pass-blocking rating for the second-best at his position.

Tight end Austin Hooper made his first start for Las Vegas and had two catches for 20 yards, including a 15-yarder for a first down, in a 38-10 loss at Buffalo.

Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas had a sack, a quarterback hurry, and two tackles in the New York Jets' 30-10 loss at Dallas. Thomas played 33 snaps on the defensive line and six on kick-block situations.

New Orleans starting left cornerback Paulson Adebo had four tackles, including three solo, and recovered a fumble in the Saints' 20-17 victory at Carolina on Monday night. The fumble recovery ended a wild sequence that began with a sack and continued with failed recovery and a live ball down the field. It ended with Adebo falling on the ball 23 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Saints' offensive lineman Andrus Peat was in on five plays – one on offense and four on placekicks.
Miami's Jake Bailey averaged 48 yards on three punts with a net average of 44.0 in the Dolphins' 24-17 victory at New England, including kicks of 55 and 52 yards. Bailey was the holder on a field goal and three extra-points, and kicked off for a touchback. Patriots' receiver Ty Montgomery was in on 16 plays – three on offense and 13 on special teams – and was targeted once without a catch.
Cincinnati receiver Trenton Irwin played 11 snaps – seven at wide receiver and four in the slot -- for the Bengals, but didn't have a catch in their 27-24 loss to visiting Baltimore.
Chargers' offensive tackle Foster Sarell played four snaps on placekicks in Los Angeles' 27-24 loss at Tennessee.
Pittsburgh offensive guard Nate Herbig was in on four placekicks in the Steelers' 26-22 victory over visiting Cleveland on Monday night.
Houston quarterback Davis Mills and Denver offensive lineman Cameron Fleming did not play.
Philadelphia quarterback Tanner McKee and Arizona tight end Elijah Higgins were inactive.
Miami cornerback Ethan Bonner, Philadelphia defensive lineman Thomas Booker, Pittsburgh receiver Simi Fehoko, Atlanta tight end Tucker Fisk, San Francisco linebacker Curtis Robinson, Cincinnati safety Michael Thomas, Washington receiver Brycen Tremayne, and Chicago safety Kendall Williamson were on practice squads.
Carolina defensive lineman Henry Anderson and Washington tight end Kaden Smith were on injured reserve.
