Stanford in the NFL: Week 3

WITH DENVER OFFENSIVE tackle Cameron Fleming seeing action on Sunday, 24 Stanford alums have played in the NFL this regular season, in three weeks. None have made a greater impact than San Francisco's Christian McCaffrey, who leads the league in rushing yards and extended his streak of games with touchdowns. Here is the summary of performances from former Stanford players around the NFL in Week 3:

San Francisco starting running back Christian McCaffrey scored on a four-yard run in the second quarter of the 49ers' 30-12 victory over the visiting New York Giants on Thursday night. McCaffrey has scored a TD in 12 consecutive games, including the playoffs, tying Jerry Rice's franchise record set in 1987. McCaffrey rushed for a game-high 85 yards on 18 carries and caught five passes for 34 yards for the 3-0 49ers. He continues to lead all NFL rushers, with 353 yards. New York starting middle linebacker Bobby Okereke had nine tackles, including six solo, and a quarterback hurry.

Atlanta starting center Drew Dalman played 67 offensive snaps during the Falcons' 20-6 loss at Detroit on Sunday. Dalman had a 79.9 run-block rating from Pro Football Focus and a 72.5 overall grade. 

Arizona starting receiver Michael Wilson had two catches for 86 yards in the Cardinals' 28-16 upset victory over visiting Dallas. Midway through the fourth quarter, with the Cardinals holding on to a five-point lead, Wilson broke from the left slot across the middle, caught a medium-deep pass from Joshua Dobbs and ran for 40 more yards to complete a 69-yard play to the Cowboys' 7-yard line, setting up the clinching score. Wilson played 41 offensive snaps, lining up in the slot, wide, and in the backfield. Tight end Zach Ertz had two catches for six yards for the Cardinals.

New Orleans offensive lineman Andrus Peat came off the bench and played 46 offensive snaps and four special teams snaps in the Saints' 18-17 loss at Green Bay. 

Fourth-year Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson earned his first start this season and the fourth of his career in the Seahawks' 37-27 victory over visiting Carolina. Parkinson had three catches for 38 yards, each earning a first down, and had an 82.0 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus. Seattle cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly was in on nine special teams plays.

Houston tight end Dalton Schultz had one catch for nine yards and played 38 snaps in the Texans' 37-17 victory at Jacksonville. Starting offensive left tackle Walker Little played 73 offensive snaps and five on special teams for the Jaguars. Little had a 75.9 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. 

Las Vegas starting tight end Austin Hooper played 55 offensive snaps in the Raiders' 23-18 loss to visiting Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Offensive guard Nate Herbig played five snaps on placekicks for the Steelers.

Miami punter Jake Bailey had one kick for 48 yards in the Dolphins' 70-20 victory over visiting Denver. He also held on all 10 extra-point kicks and kicked off five times for touchbacks for the 3-0 Dolphins. Offensive tackle Cameron Fleming saw his first action of the season for the Broncos, with two offensive snaps. Fleming became the 24th Stanford alum to play in the NFL regular season this year.

Minnesota starting defensive lineman Harrison Phillips had two tackles and a quarterback hurry in the Vikings' 28-24 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. Phillips, who played 51 snaps and chased down Chargers' receiver Keenan Allen on one tackle, had a 73.9 run-defense grade from Pro Football Focus. Charger's offensive tackle Foster Sarell played five special teams snaps. 

New England receiver Ty Montgomery had two tackles on punt coverage in the Patriots' 15-10 victory at the New York Jets. Montgomery was in on 23 special teams plays. Jets' defensive lineman Solomon Thomas had two solo tackles, including a tackle for loss on short yardage. Thomas played 28 snaps, including 23 on defense. 

Washington defensive end Casey Toohill was in on 29 plays in the Commanders' 37-3 loss to visiting Buffalo, including 11 on defense. 

Kansas City starting safety Justin Reid had two tackles and a pass defensed in the Chiefs' 41-10 victory over visiting Chicago. 

Houston quarterback Davis Mills did not play.

New Orleans cornerback Paulson Adebo, Arizona tight end Elijah Higgins, Cincinnati receiver Trenton Irwin, and Philadelphia quarterback Tanner McKee were inactive.

Philadelphia defensive lineman Thomas Booker, Pittsburgh receiver Simi Fehoko, Atlanta tight end Tucker Fisk, San Francisco linebacker Curtis Robinson, Cincinnati safety Michael Thomas, and Washington receiver Brycen Tremayne were on practice squads. 

Carolina defensive lineman Henry Anderson and Washington tight end Kaden Smith were on injured reserve.
