• Stanford football returns home to Stanford Stadium on Homecoming Reunion Weekend for a Pac-12 battle with the UCLA Bruins.
• The Cardinal pulled off the greatest comeback win in school history last week, beating Colorado 46-43 in double overtime after trailing by 29 points at halftime.
• Not only was the comeback at Colorado the largest in Stanford history, but it made a mark in the Pac-12 record book as well as the fourth largest comeback win in the 107-year history of the conference.
• In the second half, Stanford scored on all eight of its drives, including touchdowns on its first five possessions. The 46 points scored by the Cardinal after halftime are the most Stanford has scored in a half in program history.
• The comeback win would not have been possible without the historic performance from wide receiver Elic Ayomanor. The sophomore out of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada caught 13 passes for 294 yards in the second half alone, setting the Stanford football record for most receiving yards in a single game.
• Ayomanor also scored three touchdowns, including a 97-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter. That touchdown is the second longest in Stanford history, behind only a 98-yard touchdown reception from Troy Walters on September 25, 1999.
• Ashton Daniels did not make the start against the Buffaloes, but wound up having a career night in Boulder. Daniels threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns in the Stanford win, the most passing yards in a game by a Cardinal quarterback since Davis Mills in 2020.
• Stanford’s win over Colorado snapped a seven-game losing streak in Pac-12 play for the Cardinal and is the team’s first road conference win since September 11, 2021 at USC.
• Stanford improves to 11-4 after the bye week since 2008, and last week’s win was the first following a bye week since 2018.
• UCLA enters this matchup against Stanford after dropping its Week 7 game to No. 15 Oregon State 36- 24. After a 3-0 start to the season, the Bruins have lost two of its first three games in Pac-12 play.
