Cardinal Kicks Off Season with Three Top-10 Matchups

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford squash opens the 2023-24 season this weekend with a trio of top-10 matches.

The team opens at No. 5 Penn on Friday, Nov. 17, before seeing No. 10 Columbia on Saturday, Nov. 18 and No. 3 Princeton on Sunday. The strong opening slate serves as an early test after the Card was ranked No. 4 in the College Squash Association preseason poll, the best preseason ranking in program history and a position not reached since the 2019-20 preseason.

The 2023-24 squad features several key returners, including senior All-American Si Yi Ma and 2022-23 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Co-Freshman of the Year Miriam Cheng

After this weekend's action, the team returns in 2024 with another run against top competition. Jan. 11 starts a four day stretch that will see Stanford compete against No. 12 Tufts, No. 1 Harvard, #2 Trinity College and No. 9 Cornell.

The team then turns to postseason play, with the MASC Championships from Feb. 9-11, the College Squash Association National Team Championships from Feb. 29 through March 3, and the CSA Individual National Championships from March 7-10.
