STANFORD, Calif. – Kiki Iriafen had career highs with 23 points and 13 rebounds, Nunu Agara dropped in 18 in her Cardinal debut and No. 15 Stanford beat Hawai'i in Maples Pavilion on Wednesday night, 87-40.

The win was the Cardinal's 25th consecutive in a home opener and moved its record against the Rainbow Wahine to 12-0 all-time.

Iriafen carried Stanford in the first half, scoring 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go with nine rebounds in 18 minutes. Prior to tonight, she had scored 16 in three separate games last November against San Diego State, FGCU and Santa Clara. With the Cardinal up 46-22 at the break, Iriafen only played eight second-half minutes, all in the third quarter, and tallied six points and four rebounds.

Iriafen scored eight of Stanford's first 12 points, all in the first five minutes, on a trio of layups and a jumper to give the Cardinal a 12-2 lead midway through the first quarter. In the final 30 seconds of the opening frame, Agara sank four free throws to push the lead to 12, 24-12.

Agara made a game-high eight free throws on the night and Stanford was 19-of-20 (.950) at the line, its best performance with at least 20 attempts since going 25-of-26 (.962) in a 71-65 win over Purdue on Nov. 29, 2015.

While Iriafen dominated the first half, Agara took center stage in the second, scoring 12 of her 18 on 4-of-5 from the floor and 4-of-5 on free throws. Up 66-30 after three, Agara scored Stanford's first 10 points in the fourth to extend the lead to 44 (76-32) and wrapped up her night with two more freebies with 4:12 to go for points 17 and 18.

Agara's 18 were the most points scored by a Stanford freshman in a season opener since Candice Wiggins had 24 in a 63-57 win at Utah on Nov. 19, 2004.

Brooke Demetre added 12 points, her sixth career game in double figures and Elena Bosgana, making her first career start, had 10 points and eight rebounds. Cameron Brink had eight points, eight rebounds and a game-high five assists in 17 minutes.

Stanford was a school-record +42 on the glass (60-18). The previous program mark was +39 (67-28) at Fresno State on Dec. 4, 2011.

The Cardinal returns to the floor on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. when it hosts No. 9 Indiana on ESPN.
