Program Record and Silver Medals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.Torri Huske led Stanford on day two of the NCAA Championships, winning silver and setting a program record in the 200 IM and leading off in the 200 free relay team to a second-place finish.
 
The Cardinal maintained their fourth place standing at 106 points after three athletes qualified for finals.
 
Natalie Mannion represented Stanford in the 500 free, qualifying with a lifetime best of 4:40.54 for the B final. The freshman picked up Honorary All-American Honors and finished eighth in the consolation final.
 
Huske went a program fastest 1:50.06 in the 200 IM to take second. The time was also a lifetime best for the sophomore, swimming faster than the previous NCAA record.
 
Freshman Lucy Bell swam a personal best in the 200 IM prelims at 1:54.89 to qualify for the B final, finishing seventh to add points for the Cardinal.
 
Wrapping up the evening, the 200 free relay team made up of Huske, Claire Curzan, Taylor Ruck and Amy Tang took home the silver medal at 1:25.70.
 
Day three of the NCAA Championships will be action-packed with the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, 3 meter and 400 medley relay.
