The Cardinal kicks off its racing for the 2023 campaign for the second consecutive season at the San Diego Crew Classic. Last season, Stanford sent just one boat to the regatta, earning a first-place finish in the Collegiate Varsity UCSD Cal Cup 8+ event.
Stanford comes off one its best seasons in recent history, earning the program's first Pac-12 Championship since 2014 and its second straight runner-up finish at the 2022 NCAA Championships. The Cardinal returns six members of its varsity eight boat that also earned a second-place finish at the national championships.
