Stanford men's golf has been selected as the No. 2 seed at the Las Vegas Regional, to be played May 15-17 at Bear's Best Las Vegas.
 
Bear's Best Las Vegas is a unique golf course made up of 18 holes hand selected by Jack Nicklaus from his 270 designs worldwide. This high-end Las Vegas golf course includes manicured bent grass greens, challenging designs, and immaculate fairway/tee complexes.
 
The 14 teams, in order of seed, are: Arizona State, Stanford, Virginia, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, East Tennessee State, Cincinnati, San Francisco, UNC Greensboro, Long Beach State, Oregon State, Davidson, Kansas City and Lehigh.
 
The five individuals are: Caden Fioroni (UNLV), Mac McClear (Iowa), Aidan Thomas (New Mexico State), Garrison Smith (New Mexico State) and Brady McKinlay (Utah Valley)
 
Regional play will take place May 15-17 at six regional sites, with a total of 450 student-athletes competing. Three regional sites will have 13 teams and 10 individuals and three will have 14 teams and five individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to play in the championships at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., beginning May 26.

Auburn, Alabama - Auburn University Club (Auburn, host)
Salem, South Carolina - The Cliffs at Keowee Falls (Clemson, host)
Bath, Michigan - Eagle Eye Golf Club, (Michigan State, host)
Las Vegas, Nevada - Bear's Best Las Vegas (UNLV, host)
Norman, Oklahoma - Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club (Oklahoma, host)
Morgan Hill, California - The Institute Golf Club (San Jose State, host)
 
Stanford is coming off a Pac-12 Championship at Stanford Golf Course, claiming a 13-shot victory over second-place Arizona State, the top seed in the Las Vegas region. Michael Thorbjornsen earned medalist honors, the first Cardinal to claim the Pac-12 Championship since Maverick McNealy in 2015.
 
In nine team events this season, the Cardinal claimed three wins: Fighting Illini Invitational, Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate and the Pac-12 Championships. The Cardinal finished inside the Top 3 in six of its nine events.
 
Stanford claimed NCAA Regional crowns in 1996, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019. The program owns nine NCAA titles all-time.
