STANFORD, Calif. – No. 5 Stanford had its five-match winning streak versus Nebraska snapped, falling to the fourth-ranked Huskers, 23-25, 16-25, 25-19, 21-25, Tuesday, at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (6-2) was held to a season-low .218 attack percentage in its first loss to Nebraska (8-0) since the 2008 season opener in Omaha.

Outside hitter Caitie Baird led the Cardinal with 15 kills on .400 hitting, six digs, three assists, two blocks and an ace. Opposite Kendall Kipp added 12 kills, three digs and a block.
 


Nebraska hit .333 as a team and out dug Stanford 38-30 and out blocked the Cardinal 11.5 to 8.5. Both teams had four aces.

Setter Kami Miner totaled 38 assists, three digs, two blocks and an ace. The junior also had a season-high five kills on eight errorless attempts to hit a team-best .625.
 


Middle blocker Sami Francis hit .312 with seven kills and three blocks, while McKenna Vicini had a team-best five blocks and two kills. Outside hitter Elia Rubin finished with seven kills, three digs and a season-high four blocks.
 


Libero Elena Oglivie, the reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, collected a match-high 13 digs to go with four assists. Defensive specialist Anna Pringle had two aces and two digs off the bench – tying her career-high in both categories.

Nebraska was led by junior Merritt Beason's 15 kills, while freshman Harper Murray added 12 kills on .417 hitting, six digs, four blocks and three aces. Libero Lexi Rodriguez finished with 12 digs and five assists.

Stanford is now 10-7 all-time against Nebraska.

The Cardinal closes out the week on Sunday at No. 2 Louisville. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT on ESPN2.
