STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford's 2024 spring slate will feature four regattas at home as the Cardinal looks to repeat as two-time national champions. The team's first weekend of racing will take place on February 17 and 18 and include both the Bryson Women's Fleet Race and the Top-9 Invite in Redwood City, California.
Across the four months of the spring season, Stanford is set to compete in 18 regattas, including 14 on the road. The Cardinal will travel to the east coast for 11 regattas, four of which will be for national championship opportunities at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology.
Stanford will look to continue its streak of PCCSC titles, with four conference trophies on the line in April. The women's team and fleet races will take place at UC San Diego on April 5-7 to begin the conference championships.
The Cardinal hosts the next conference event on April 13-14 as the PCCSC Open Team Race title will be up for grabs in Redwood City. The final conference title, the PCCSC Open Fleet Race trophy, will be at UC Santa Barbara over April 20-21.
Following the PCCSC championships, Stanford will head to MIT for the four national championships, beginning with the Open Team Race Nationals on April 25-27. The Women's Team Race Nationals will follow, from April 28-29 before a break in the action.
The final two national championships begin at the end of May, first with the Women's Fleet Race Nationals on May 20-23. The season concludes with the Open Fleet Race Nationals on May 24-27.
Stanford, the reigning ICSA Open Fleet Race and Women's Fleet Race champions from the 2023 season, will look to add to its collection of trophies at this year's national championship regattas. The Cardinal is also the reigning Leonard M. Fowle Trophy recipient, given to college sailing's top program.
