STANFORD, Calif. - Ivy Davis was named the MPSF Artistic Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday, the conference announced. The award is her first career weekly award and the first given this season.
The sophomore led the Cardinal to a season-opening win, guiding the team to a clean sweep of all events at Texas Woman's (Jan. 20). She teamed up with Miko Begossi and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian to take the trio title (206.2854). She also took the title in the duet alongside Begossi (144.5667), while helping Stanford to the title in the team event (225.5438). Along with her three victories, Davis helped Stanford take the Tech 'A' win as well, finishing third overall.
Davis will look to continue her success this upcoming weekend, as Stanford hosts Incarnate Word and UCLA on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
