·     The Battle of the Bay, between top-ranked Stanford women’s golf and No. 17 San Jose State, takes place on Thursday at Cordevalle Resort in San Martin.
·     This is the second event of the spring season for the Cardinal. Stanford finished second at the annual Pac-12 Preview on the Big Island of Hawaii.
·     Paula Martin Sampedro finished tied for second during the Pac-12 Preview, the best finish of her young collegiate career. She has not finished outside the top-10 in a tournament this season.
·     After the Pac-12 Preview, Stanford moved into the top spot in the most recent Clippd Golf rankings, rising above Wake Forest for the first time this season.
·     2024 marks the third year of the Battle of the Bay vs. San Jose State. Stanford won the inaugural event in 2022 and lost last year.
