MAC HERMANN TROPHY SEMIFINALIST
- United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) announced the 15 women's semifinalists for the 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy, based on voting by NCAA Division I women's soccer coaches, with Stanford sophomore Jasmine Aikey earning a spot on the semifinalist list
- The Hermann Trophy is the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer and has been awarded since 1967
- Ousmane Sylla (Clemson) and Onyi Echegini (Florida State) received the award in 2023
- A national-best four Stanford women's soccer players, including Aikey, were among the 56 players named to the 2023 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List earlier this year (Aikey, Maya Doms, Elise Evans and Kennedy Wesley)
- A Cardinal has claimed three of the last seven MAC Hermann trophies, with Andi Sullivan earning the award in 2017, followed by Catarina Macario becoming a back-to-back winner in 2018 and 2019
- Kelley O'Hara became the first Stanford player to win the MAC Hermann Trophy at the conclusion of the 2009 season, followed by Christen Press (2010) and Teresa Noyola (2011) to bring Stanford's total to six winners

HONDA AWARD FINALIST
- Sophomore midfielder Jasmine Aikey was named one of four finalists for the Honda Sport Award for Soccer
- Aikey was joined by Hannah Anderson from Texas Tech University, Onyi Echegini from Florida State University and Brigham Young University's Brecken Mozingo
- Aikey was the first finalist from Stanford since Catarina Macario won the award following the 2019 season, and the 10th finalist overall for the Cardinal
- The Honda Sport Award has been presented annually by the CWSA for the past 48 years to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports and signifies "the best of the best in collegiate athletics."
- Onyi Echegini, a senior forward Florida State University, was named the 2024 Honda Sport Award winner
SEVEN NAMED TO TOPDRAWERSOCCER BEST XI TEAMS
- Jasmine Aikey and Kennedy Wesley each earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Best XI first team, headlining seven Cardinal selections across the end of year squads
- Both Aikey (2022) and Wesley (2019) had previously been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman Best XI in their respective first seasons
- Maya Doms placed on the second team for the second time in her career (2022) after previously being named to the Freshman Best XI in 2019
- Elise Evans, a Freshman Best XI pick in 2022 alongside Aikey, landed on the Best XI third team in 2023

WORKING HARD ON THE FIELD AND THE CLASSROOM
- A national-best four Stanford women's soccer players were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans
- Senior Ryan Campbell and graduate student Kennedy Wesley earned spots on the first team, joined by sophomore Jasmine Aikey on the second team and fifth-year player Maya Doms on the third team
- The four selections were the most of any Division I program, ahead of Penn State's three, and eclipsed Stanford's prior program record of three honorees in 2010
- The 2023 season also marked the first time in program history that the Cardinal placed two players on the Academic All-America first team
- Campbell was also named a first-team Scholar All-American according to United Soccer Coaches
ALL-AMERICAN DUO
- Sophomores Jasmine Aikey and Elise Evans were named 2023 NCAA Division I Women's All-Americans
- Aikey earned her spot on the first team, while Evans landed on the third team
- The All-America honors came on the heels of being named to the All-Region first team alongside senior Ryan Campbell and fifth-year player Maya Doms
- Aikey and Evans, along with the rest of this year's All-Americans, were recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention
IRON WOMEN
- Kennedy Wesley started 60 consecutive matches to finish her collegiate career, dating back to a September 19, 2021 contest vs. Santa Clara
- Wesley played in 104 of a possible 106 matches in her career, including starting 92 overall
- Wesley finished her career as Stanford's all-time leader in games played with 104, passing a trio of players with 102 - Teresa Noyola (2008-11), Lindsay Taylor (2008-11) and Alina Garciamendez (2009-12) - with a start against BYU on December 1 in the NCAA semifinal
- Maya Doms appeared in 100 of a possible 106 matches in her career, including starting 84 overall
- Julia Leontini missed just three matches in her career, appearing in 78 of a possible 81 contests
- Through her sophomore campaign, Jasmine Aikey has appeared in all 47 matches in her career, starting 41 overall
- Elise Evans has missed just three matches through her sophomore year, starting 44 of a possible 47 contests
- Freshman Shae Harvey has started all 25 of her collegiate matches on The Farm, while fellow freshman Mia Bhuta has played in all 25 while starting 24
NATIONAL-BEST FIVE NAMED ALL-REGION
- Stanford matched a national-high with four players on the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region first team, and added one more on the third team, it was announced on November 28
- In addition to being a national leader with four first-team selections, Stanford's five total honorees were also tied for the most nationally
- Senior Ryan Campbell was joined by fifth-year player Maya Doms, and sophomores Jasmine Aikey and Elise Evans, on the first team, while graduate student Kennedy Wesley landed on the third team
- All five players had previously been named All-Region in 2022, with Doms, Wesley, Evans and Aikey landing on the first team, and Campbell selected for the third team
- For Doms, the selection was her third in as many years after landing on the first team in each of the previous three campaigns

- The eight players to land on either the first, second or third teams were the most for the Cardinal since Stanford placed 10 on the lists in 2018

AIKEY'S HAT TRICK EARNS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- Sophomore Jasmine Aikey was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on November 6 after recording a hat trick, including the game-winner, in a 4-0 victory over California on November 3
- The hat trick was the third multi-goal game of Aikey's career, joining the three at Oregon State on October 23, 2022 and the four-goal game vs. San Jose State in the first round of the 2022 NCAA tournament on November 11, 2022
- Aikey scored in the 19th, 58th and 60th minutes and managed the three goals on just six total shots
- The Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award was the second of Aikey's career (Oct. 24, 2022)
#STANFORDNWSL
- Twelve former Stanford standouts helped guide their teams to the 2023 NWSL playoffs, with Kelley O'Hara and NJ/NY Gotham winning the NWSL Championship

DOMS LAUDED AS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- Maya Doms was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on October 30 after helping Stanford to a pair of draws at then-No. 23 USC and No. 2 UCLA
- Doms scored the equalizer at No. 2 UCLA less than one minute after the Bruins scored their go-ahead goal, spoiling UCLA's 12-game win streak.
- The native of Davis, Calif. rattled off a game-high six shots against the Bruins, putting a pair on frame
- The selection was the second of Doms' career and the first of the 2023 season (Aug. 30, 2021)
PAC-12 KEEPER OF THE WEEK
- Ryan Campbell was named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week four times in 2023, earning the first selection on September 4 and her most recent selections in three consecutive weeks on September 18, September 25 and October 2
- Campbell became the second goalkeeper in Pac-12 history to win three consecutive Pac-12 weekly honors (Colorado's Jalen Tompkins in 2016) and only the third player to have won three consecutive Player of the Week nods (Tompkins; UCLA's Quincy McMahon in 2023)
- Campbell helped Stanford to its first win over then-No. 10 Duke since 2014 on September 2, playing all 90 minutes in the goal and making two saves in the 4-0 shutout over the Blue Devils
- A 1-0 shutout of then-No. 12 Santa Clara on September 17 garnered the second selection of the year as Campbell made five saves while facing 12 shots from the Broncos
- Campbell turned in another 1-0 shutout on September 22, this time blanking No. 24 Washington State on the road while making two saves
- The native of Laguna Beach, Calif. recorded her fifth shutout of the year in a 3-0 win vs. Arizona on October 1, finishing with four saves in goal for the Cardinal
- With four selections in 2023, Campbell won Goalkeeper of the Week seven times while on The Farm (Oct. 3, 2022; Oct. 17, 2022; Oct. 31, 2022; Sept. 4, 2023; Sept. 18, 2023; Sept. 25, 2023; Oct. 2, 2023)
SUPPORTING THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER
- The Cardinal donned pink jerseys during the October 14 and October 22 matches to promote breast cancer awareness
- Those game-worn jerseys were auctioned off with over $5,500 going to the Women's Cancer Center at Stanford Medicine
WESLEY'S WEEKLY HONORS
- Kennedy Wesley earned the first Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honor for the 2023 season on August 22 and took home her second on September 4
- The honors were the first of Wesley's career as she competed in her fifth season on The Farm in 2023
- The native of Rossmoor, Calif. helped lead the Cardinal to a 4-0 shutout at San Diego on August 17 with her first career goal, assist and game winner to open the 2023 season ... held the USD Toreros to six shots with just three on goal
- Wesley went on to anchor a back line that allowed just nine shots and one goal from UC Irvine in a 2-1 win on August 19
- Wesley assisted on the game-winner in the Cardinal's 4-0 clean sheet over No. 10 Duke on September 2, then added an insurance goal off of a converted PK for her second goal of the season
- Wesley saw 90 minutes on the pitch, limiting the Blue Devils to six total shots with just two on goal
CARDINAL TABBED SECOND IN PAC-12
- Stanford was selected to finish second in the Pac-12 following a poll of the Conference's head coaches prior to the 2023 season
- Stanford, which has not received fewer than 100 points since 2010, garnered 113 points and three first-place votes, trailing only 2022 national champion UCLA with the other nine first-place votes and 119 total points
- The Cardinal has been picked to finish in the top two spots in all but one season since 2007, and has received at least one first-place vote in the poll in every season since 2002
- After the Bruins and Cardinal, USC followed in third place with 94 points, ahead of California (85 points) and Washington State (76) to round out the top five
- The league's top three also landed in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top 25 - UCLA entered the season at No. 1 nationally, Stanford at No. 11, and USC at No. 22
CARDINAL IN THE WORLD CUP
- Seven former Cardinal represented their countries in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup
- The Farm produced five players for Team USA, including Alana Cook, Naomi Girma, Kelley O'Hara, Sophia Smith and Andi Sullivan ... all but O'Hara (fourth World Cup) were making their inaugural appearance in the World Cup
- Kyra Carusa made her World Cup debut with Ireland, while Ali Riley captained New Zealand - earning the country's first World Cup victory ... for Riley, the 2023 World Cup was her fifth with The Ford Football Ferns
- Stanford's five U.S. World Cup members were the most of any program in the nation, followed by North Carolina and Santa Clara with two
NEW COACHING GIFT CELEBRATES MACARIO
- The women's soccer program received a generous gift from an anonymous donor in 2023 with the creation of an endowed assistant coaching position that honors all-time great Catarina Macario - Stanford's first two-time MAC Hermann Trophy winner
- Melissa Charloe was the inaugural Catarina Macario Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
- Macario helped guide the Cardinal to three College Cup appearances and national titles in 2017 and 2019 ... in 2019, she became just the fifth player in NCAA history to win the MAC Hermann Trophy in consecutive seasons after leading the nation in goals (32), assists (23), and points (87); all three totals set single-season program records en route to Stanford's third national title ... she was also the three-time ESPNW Player of the Year, three-time First Team All-American, and 2019 Honda Sport Award winner for soccer, which is presented annually to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports and signifies "the best of the best in collegiate athletics."
- Macario's storied three-year career on the Farm saw her score 63 goals while assisting on a program-record 47 more to finish with 173 points ... her goals and points totals trail only Stanford Hall of Famer Christen Press in the history of the program
- Following her Stanford playing career, Macario signed a professional contract with Lyon, playing a crucial role in helping the French outfit to the 2021-22 French title and UEFA Women's Champions League, scoring 23 goals in 33 games and becoming the first American to score in a Women's Champions League final ... most recently, Macario made the switch to Chelsea in July 2023, inking a three-year deal with the historic English club of the FA Women's Super League
- Hailing from San Diego, but born in Brazil, Macario has represented the United States at various levels throughout her career, including making her debut for the U.S. Women's National Team in January 2021 ... in 17 appearances with the USWNT, Macario has scored eight goals and totaled two assists
