Raynaud Leads Stanford’s All-Pac-12 Honors

LAS VEGAS – Maxime Raynaud was named the Pac-12's Most Improved Player and the 7-footer from Paris was joined by Spencer Jones and Kanaan Carlyle with All-Pac-12 honors. Raynaud was also chosen to the All-Pac-12 second team, while Jones was named all-defensive honorable mention and Carlyle was an honorable mention all-freshman selection.

Raynaud becomes the fourth Pac-12 Most Improved Player in program history, joining Dwight Powell (2013), Anthony Brown (2014) and Jaiden Delaire (2021), while the second team nod is the first of his career. Raynaud leads the Cardinal in scoring (15.6 pts), field goal percentage (.578), rebounding (9.6 reb) and blocked shots (0.8 blk).

A dominant force in the paint, Raynaud has tallied 11 double-doubles on the season, including nine in Pac-12 competition. His 16.2 points per game in league play were ninth-best in the conference, and he ranked third with 9.9 rebounds per night. He has three games of at least 15 points and 15 rebounds and is the first Stanford player since Curtis Borchardt (6, 2001-02) to have four games of at least 15 rebounds in one season and the first since Reid Travis (16, 2016-17) to have at least 10 double-doubles in a season. He scored a career-high 29 points twice, against Arizona and Oregon State.

One of the most consistent players in the Pac-12, Jones earned his second consecutive All-Pac-12 Defensive Team honorable mention nod. Consistently tasked with marking the opposition's top competition, Jones averaged 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks in conference play. On the season, the fifth-year from Roeland Park, Kansas has averaged 10.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 39.8 percent from 3-point range.

Establishing himself as one of the best 3-point shooters in program history, Jones has 308 career threes, breaking the program record previously held by Chasson Randle '15 and ranking seventh in Pac-12 history. Jones also entered the top-10 on Stanford's career scoring list with 1,568 points, and his tied Stanford's single-game 3-point record with eight makes against Washington on Jan. 20. The swingman is the first player in program history to be in the top-10 all-time at Stanford in both steals (6th, 144) and blocks (10th, 110) in a career, and he is tied for the most games played in a career as well (144).

One of the most dynamic freshmen in the Pac-12, Carlyle earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 Freshman Team honors. The guard from Atlanta averages 11.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists on the season, and 12.5 points per night in Pac-12 play. Carlyle played a key role in Stanford's upset of then-No. 4 Arizona on New Year's Eve, 100-82, with 29 points. He would end up being named the Associated Press National Player of the Week. Carlyle also scored a career-high 31 points against Washington State, breaking the program's freshman record for scoring in a single game.
