STANFORD, Calif. - When Team USA today announced the 13-man roster to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics, four Stanford men's water polo products made the cut. Ben Hallock, Dylan Woodhead, Alex Bowen and Drew Holland all will represent the United States.
Hallock was named team captain, and brings exerience from competing in the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. With Stanord, Hallock was a three-time ACWPC First Team All-American and two-time MPSF Player of the Year.
Bowen is another two-time Olympian, and in his career on The Farm he was the Card's first four-time ACWPC First Team All-American since 2004.
Holland and Woodhead both competed in the Tokyo games, and figure to be key to the US defense. Holland finished his Stanford career in 2017, leaving with the program record for career saves (925).
Woodhead picked up ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American honors in his senior season with the Card, and was a part of the 2019 NCAA National Championship team along with Hallock.
The US squad will open on July 28 against Italy.
