Men’s Basketball Announces Non-Conference Slate

The Cardinal will have eight matchups at Maples Pavilion

STANFORD, Calif. – The first season of the Kyle Smith era for Stanford men’s basketball will begin on Nov. 4 in the first of eight home non-conference battles at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal has released its full non-league slate, while game times and television designations will be announced at a later date.

“With our non-conference schedule, we have an opportunity to establish an identity for our program in preparation for the ACC,” said Smith. “We have some marquee games that will let us know where we stand with an NCAA tourney winner in Grand Canyon on a neutral site, a tough road game against local rival Santa Clara, and we finish off our non-conference against old Pac12 rival Oregon in San Jose.

Men's basketball season ticket memberships, starting at $175, are now available for the 2024-25 season. Explore availability by clicking here or by contacting the Stanford Athletics Ticket Office at 800-STANFORD or athleticstickets@stanford.edu for more information.

The campaign begins with five straight battles at home, starting with Denver (Nov. 4) and Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 8) during the opening week of the college basketball season. The homestand continues with matchups against Northern Arizona (Nov. 12), UC Davis (Nov. 17) and Norfolk State (Nov. 20) before the Cardinal takes a quick trip to Santa Clara (Nov. 23) for its first road bout of the season.

Stanford will face Grand Canyon during Feast Week on Tuesday, Nov. 26 in the Acrisure Holiday Classic, held in Palm Springs, California at Acrisure Arena. The contest will tip at 8:30 p.m.

The Cardinal’s schedule continues with three consecutive home games against Cal Poly (Nov. 30), Utah Valley (Dec. 3) and Merrimack (Dec. 17) before closing non-ACC action against Oregon in the San Jose Tip-Off on Dec. 21.

“We are hoping this schedule will get us ready to take on the incredible challenge that is ACC basketball,” finished Smith. “We can’t wait to get started.”
