Twice Golden

Torri Huske anchors World record-breaking relay while Katie Ledecky captures 9th career Olympic gold.

PARIS - It was another golden night inside La Défense Arena, as Torri Huske and Katie Ledecky each captured another Olympic gold on night eight of swimming action.

Ledecky rewrote history again on Saturday evening, winning the 800 free with a time of 8:11.04 for her second gold medal of the 2024 Olympic Games.

The win secured Olympic gold medal number nine for Ledecky, the most of any American woman in history. She also became just the second swimmer to win an event in four different Olympics, joining Michael Phelps who accomplished the feat in the 200 medley.

Torri Huske closed out the night as the anchor leg of the 4x100 mixed medley relay, splitting a 51.88 freestyle leg to secure the gold for Team USA with a World record time of 3:37.43.

It continues a phenomenal run in Paris for Huske, who now has two gold and two silver medals on the week. She'll have an opportunity to add to her medal count in the women's 4x100 medley relay, as Olympic swimming action concludes on Sunday.
