The Chargers' Simi Fehoko was among the Stanford standouts in Week 6

THE DIVISIONAL RACES are taking shape and Stanford alums are playing roles in key results through Week 6 of the NFL season.

The following is a summary of how former Cardinal fared in the NFL this week:

Los Angeles Chargers receiver Simi Fehoko had two catches for 44 yards in a 23-16 victory at Denver. Fehoko, who also assisted on a special teams tackle, set a career best for yards in a game and matched his career high for catches in a game. Fehoko caught a deep pass for 30 yards – the Chargers’ second-longest gain of the game -- that led to a third-quarter field goal for a 23-0 lead. Fehoko played 40 offensive snaps and 19 on special teams. Chargers’ offensive tackle Foster Sarell played six offensive downs and one on special teams.


New Orleans starting left cornerback Paulson Adebo intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards in a 51-27 loss to visiting Tampa Bay. Adebo had a game-high eight solo tackles and tied for the game lead with 10 total tackles. He also broke up two passes among his 77 (100 percent) defensive snaps. Adebo has three interceptions this season, which ties him for third in the league.
Philadelphia defensive tackle Thomas Booker combined on a sack among his eight plays in the Eagles’ 20-16 victory over visiting Cleveland that allowed the Eagles to pull within a half-game of first-place Washington in the NFC East. Booker, who also had a quarterback hurry, joined Milton Williams on a four-yard sack of Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson that led to a third-quarter punt. It was the second sack of Booker’s career and first for the Eagles.

Washington starting tight end Zach Ertz had four catches for 68 yards in the Commanders’ 30-23 loss at Baltimore on Sunday. The yardage was the most for Ertz in his first season with Washington and the most for him in a game since the 2022 season. Ertz had receptions for 24 and 21 yards among his 47 offensive snaps.

Arizona starting receiver Michael Wilson caught an 18-yard second-quarter touchdown pass from Kyler Murray, but couldn’t prevent the Cardinals from losing at Green Bay, 34-13. Wilson caught two passes for 21 yards among his 55 offensive plays. Tight end Elijah Higgins, who also started for Arizona, was in on 18 offensive plays and 14 on special teams.
Houston tight end Dalton Schultz caught four passes for 27 yards in the Texans’ 41-21 victory at New England that improved the Texans’ record to an AFC South-leading 5-1. All of his catches aided drives that led to points. Schultz played 57 snaps and three on special teams. Houston quarterback Davis Mills relieved C.J. Stroud on the final offensive series and thew one pass, which was incomplete. Austin Hooper caught one pass for five yards for the Patriots. He played 37 offensive snaps and six on special teams.

New York Giants starting inside linebacker Bobby Okereke had five tackles and forced a fumble in a 17-7 loss to visiting Cincinnati. Okereke also broke up a pass while playing every defensive snap. His tackle and forced fumble led to the Giants’ only touchdown, which tied the game, 7-7, in the third quarter. Bengals’ receiver Trenton Irwin played three offensive snaps.

Buffalo defensive end Casey Toohill had one solo tackle in the Bills’ 23-20 victory at the New York Jets on Monday night that allowed the Bills (4-2) to pull ahead of the Jets in the AFC East race. Toohill played 14 defensive snaps and nine on special teams. Jets’ defensive lineman Solomon Thomas played 23 defensive snaps and five on special teams.  

Jacksonville offensive tackle Walker Little played three offensive snaps and two special teams downs in the Jaguars’ 35-16 loss to Chicago in London on Sunday.

Las Vegas offensive guard Andrus Peat played two offensive snaps and one on special teams in the Raiders’ 32-13 loss to visiting Pittsburgh.

Miami punter Jake Bailey and cornerback Ethan Bonner, Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty and tight end Colby Parkinson, Minnesota defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, and Kansas City strong safety Justin Reid had byes.

Philadelphia quarterback Tanner McKee was inactive.

Washington receiver Brycen Tremayne and Los Angeles Chargers tight end Tucker Fisk were on practice squads.

San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey and linebacker Curtis Robinson, Atlanta center Drew Dalman, and Pittsburgh offensive guard Nate Herbig, were on injured reserve.
