VERONA, Wis. – The Stanford men’s and women’s cross-country teams compete in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals on Saturday at the site of this year’s NCAA championship meet.
Racing starts at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course with the main women’s race at 8 a.m. PT over 6 kilometers (3.73 miles), followed by the men’s 8K (4.97 miles) at 8:40. The women’s open is at 9:20, the men’s open at 10 a.m., the women’s ‘B’ at 10:40, and men’s ‘B’ at 11:20 a.m. PT.
The Pre-Nationals, along with the earlier Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational on the same course, are typically the most competitive meets in the nation during the regular season.
The women’s race features 19 teams ranked among the USTFCCCA top 30, including No. 8 Stanford and the nation’s four top-ranked teams.
