STANFORD, Calif. - USA Swimming has announced Stanford women's swimming and diving associate head coach Katie Robinson will join the coaching staff for the 2024 World Aquatics Short Course Championships, as announced by the governing body on Tuesday afternoon.
The meet takes place on December 10-15 in Budapest, Hungary at the Duna Arena, where Robinson will work closely with Cardinal junior Torri Huske as she competes in the 100 free and 100 fly.
Robinson will serve as an assistant coach for Team USA under head coach Chris Plumb, joined on staff by Josh Huger, John Long, and Jake Shrum.
Robinson is currently serving her second season on staff for the Cardinal. In her first season on staff, Robinson helped guide Stanford to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships to remain the only program in the sport to never finish outside of the top 10 at the national meet.
11 Stanford swimmers earned 34 NCAA All-America honors under Robinson's leadership, along with five Pac-12 race titles in Stanford's final season in the conference.
Stanford began its 2024-25 campaign last Friday with a Triple Distance Meet against No. 7 California, winning 16 of the 20 events in the non-scoring meet. The Cardinal welcomes all alumni back to The Farm for the Alumni Relays on October 26, before continuing its season at the ASU Invite on Nov. 7-8.
