INDIANAPOLIS - Cardinal junior swimmer Torri Huske was recognized for three awards at the 2024 Golden Googles ceremony, which was held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday evening.
The 21st edition of the annual awards show celebrated the swim season’s top accomplishments by American athletes, with special emphasis this year put on Olympic performances.
Most notably, Huske was recognized as the Female Athlete of the Year after enjoying a breakthrough Olympics campaign with five medals (3 golds, 2 silver). Her run included Olympic titles in the 100m butterfly, 400m Medley Relay and 400 Mixed Medley Relay.

Huske's 100m butterfly performance also garnered her Female Race of the Year honors after clocking a 55.59 in Paris this past July. Touching the wall third at the halfway mark, Huske stormed back with a 29.98 split in the final 50 meters to chase down American teammate Gretchen Walsh and secure her first Olympic gold.

Torri's final recognition of the night was the Relay Performance of the Year award, alongside relay team members Lilly King, Regan Smith, and Gretchen Walsh. Huske anchored the relay with a 52.42 split, helping Team USA shatter the World record with a 3:49.62.

All proceeds from the Golden Goggle Awards benefit the USA Swimming Foundation, whose mission is to Save Lives, Build Champions, and Impact Communities. In addition to providing learn-to-swim grants and community impact grants to programs across the country, the USA Swimming Foundation supports the U.S. National Team and its development efforts aimed at strengthening the future of USA Swimming’s programs and services.
Currently enjoying the holiday break, Huske and the No. 4 Stanford women's swimming and diving program return to action on January 11-14 for the Bruin Diving Invite before welcoming UCLA to Avery Aquatics Center on January 17.
