STANFORD, Calif. – The Cardinal men’s water polo team is headed back to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2020. Stanford will take on Princeton on Friday, December 6 at Avery Aquatic Center. The postseason tournament will be held on The Farm, ending with the national championship on Sunday, December 8.
Stanford posted a third-place finish at this weekend’s MPSF Championship, falling in overtime to No. 3 USC before taking down No. 7 California 14-5 in the third-place game. The 21-4 season was good for an at-large bid and a No. 4 seed in the tournament.
Joining Stanford in the tournament are USC, UCLA, Salem (WV), Princeton, California Baptist, Fordham and Long Beach State.
