Jasmine Aikey has been tabbed an Academic All-American for the second time in her career

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Jasmine Aikey has been named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American for the second time in her career, it was announced on Wednesday.

Aikey, who earned a spot on the first team this season, had previously been named to the second team as a sophomore a year ago.

Aikey carries a 4.02 cumulative GPA as a computer science major and has been a key factor in Stanford reaching consecutive College Cups.

The native of Palo Alto, Calif. started the first 17 matches of the season for the Cardinal before suffering a season-ending injury at Notre Dame on October 20. A 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region fourth-team selection, Aikey scored one goal and added three assists while playing the bulk of her minutes on Stanford’s back line. The All-ACC second-team honoree was named ACC co-Defensive Player of the Week on September 17 and earned a spot on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.

Aikey was joined by teammates Mia Bhuta, Haley Craig, Shae Harvey, Andrea Kitahata and Kellie Pagador as Academic All-District selections prior to being named an Academic All-American.

Including Aikey, 14 of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women’s soccer teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.93, with the entire Division I team holding a collective average GPA of 3.92.

Aikey is also one of nine student-athletes honored as a repeat selection on the Academic All-America® Division I team.
