STANFORD, Calif. – Ahead of the team's debut season in the ACC, Stanford announced its 2025 softball schedule today. The Cardinal will call Stanford Stadium home for the year, as construction of a new, state-of-the-art softball stadium is underway.
“This is a really exciting time for Stanford Softball. I am blown away by the effort put in to this project,” said Paul A. Violich Director of Softball Jessica Allister. “Stanford’s continued investment in all aspects of our program is a direct reflection of the university’s commitment to providing a student-athlete experience that you can’t find anywhere else.”
Fresh off back-to-back appearances in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series, the Card’s slate features 28 home games beginning on Feb. 6 against Long Beach State. Stanford’s first season as a member of the ACC will feature west coast visits from Syracuse (March 7-9), Clemson (April 4-6) and Virginia (April 25-27), as well as an Easter weekend matchup with the California Golden Bears (April 17-19).
In addition to the new opponents on the field, Cardinal fans will be part of an exciting new gameday experience. Stanford Stadium will feature general admission seating, wrapping around the right-field foul pole to offer new outfield views. Full concessions options will be available in-stadium, and the location will provide nearer access to parking options for fans.
“When Bernard [Muir] first floated the idea of playing in the football stadium I thought, okay, that might work. After watching the vision come to life these past few weeks I am now eager for the experience. Our student-athletes and fans are going to be surprised by how comfortable the new set-up feels,” said Allister. “I am so thankful to the many people that have invested a tremendous amount of time, energy, and thought into providing a top-of-the-line gameday experience to our student-athletes and fans.”
Early bird season ticket pricing is available now through Jan. 9, 2025 at Tickets.GoStanford.com. Season ticket prices will increase and single game tickets will go on-sale on Friday, Jan.10. Season Ticket Members for the 2025 season will have priority access to 2026 tickets in the new stadium, as well as an invitation to an exclusive meet-the-team event ahead of the season.
