Player of the Week, Again

Maxime Raynaud earns his second weekly honor this season from the ACC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Maxime Raynaud of the Stanford men’s basketball team has been named ACC Co-Player of the Week for Dec. 15-22, as announced by the league office on Monday, Dec. 23. The honor is the second of the season for Raynaud, as he also earned the accolade on Nov. 18.

Raynaud is the only player in the ACC to earn multiple Player of the Week awards this season, and he was also a USBWA National Player of the Week on Nov. 18.

The outstanding season for Raynaud continued over matchups with Merrimack and Oregon, with the 7-footer from Paris averaging 18.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game over the two matchups with a double-double in both games. Raynaud leads the country with 10 double-doubles and currently ranks in the top-10 nationally in both points (21.4, 10th) and rebounds (11.8, third). He leads the ACC In both categories, while also ranking seventh in field goal percentage and third in minutes per game.

Raynaud also continued his ascent through the Stanford record books against Oregon, moving into the program’s all-time top-10 in career rebounds (759). He passed Reid Travis ’18 to move into the top-10.
