NEW YORK – No. 5 Stanford fell for the first time this season, losing 6-3 against No. 1 Harvard by a tight 6-3 scoreline. Four members of the Cardinal went the distance, playing all five sets.
Freshman Tiana Parasrampuria picked up a 3-0 win on court seven, moving to 4-1 on the season.
Khushi Kukadia swept her opponent on court nine, moving to 2-1 on the year.
Mariana Narvaez Dardon, Amelie Haworth and Miriam Cheng all took ther opponents the distance but came up just short in 3-2 decisions.
Maeve Baker remained undefeated on the season, winning a 4-11, 14-12, 12-10, 4-11, 11-7 battle on court eight.
The Cardinal is back in action as a full squad on Feb. 6, taking on No. 4 Princeton. This weekend, Stanford will send six to the CSA Individual National Championships. The competition begins tomorrow, running through Monday.
