NEW YORK – Cardinal freshman Riya Navani made program history this weekend, advancing to the Ramsay Cup final at the CSA Individual National Championship. Navani came up just shy of an individual national championship, going 4-1 on the weekend to become the first Stanford squash representative to reach the final.
Sophomore Madison Ho advanced to the final in the consolation bracket, rattling off three-straight wins after falling in the main bracket's round of 32.
Mariana Narvaez Dardon advanced to the main bracket's round of 16, falling to eventual national champion Zeina Zein of Princeton.
Yuvna Gupta and Miriam Cheng each advanced to their regional finals of the Holleran Cup, combining to go 3-1.
Rounding out the Stanford delegation was freshman Amelie Haworth, who went 0-2 in the Ramsay Cup. In total, the Cardinal's six studenth-athletes went 11-6 in the competition.
