Haskins Earns ACC Player of the Week

Trevor Haskins has been named ACC Player of the Week for his efforts over four games last week

STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Trevor Haskins has been named ACC Player of the Week following a stellar four-game stretch that saw Stanford go 4-0 with a win at Cal State Fullerton and three vs. Washington to start the home slate.

Wake Forest junior right-handed pitcher Logan Lunceford and Georgia Tech senior right-handed pitcher Mason Patel were tabbed Co-ACC Pitchers of the Week.

The player of the week selection is the first of Haskins’ career and the first for a Stanford baseball player while competing in the ACC.

ACC baseball weekly honors are nominated by the respective schools and determined by a vote of a 21-member media panel.

Haskins led Stanford to a 4-0 week, batting .389 (7-for-18) with five runs scored, two doubles, three homers and 11 runs batted in. The San Jose, Calif. native hit safely in all four games for the Cardinal and has batted safely in all seven games this year as Stanford enters Monday’s series finale with Washington at 7-0. Haskins homered in each of the first three games against Washington over the weekend, including a go-ahead grand slam in Stanford’s 9-5 come-from-behind victory over the Huskies on Sunday. The third baseman also led off the bottom of the first with a homer in Friday's 2-0 shutout victory, before connecting for a go-ahead three-run home run on Saturday. He reached at a .368 clip last week while slugging 1.000 and had four RBIs in each of the final two games on the weekend.
