No. 14 Cardinal Hosts No. 5 California, No. 12 Oregon State, UC Davis for Stanford Quad

Stanford welcomes the Golden Bears, Beavers and Aggies to Maples Pavilion for the first quad meet on The Farm since 2022

QUICK STICKS

  • No. 14 Stanford returns to the friendly confines of The Farm for its first home meet in the month of February, hosting No. 5 California, No. 12 Oregon State and UC Davis Feb. 28 for a quad meet.
  • The Cardinal's quad meet is set for a 7 p.m. start and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra with Jenna Beccera and Casey Magnuson on the call.
  • No. 16 Stanford made a statement in its first ACC trip to South Carolina, topping Clemson in front of a nearly sold-out crowd on its home turf 196.925-196.575 Sunday, Feb. 23.  Senior Brenna Neault won her second consecutive all-around title with a score of 39.250, highlighted by a season-best matching 9.875 on floor. Junior Anna Roberts followed suit with her second consecutive vault title, scoring a 9.925 on the event. Freshman Ui Soma won her first collegiate event title with a new career-best score of 9.950 on bars, while sophomore Sienna Robinson collected her second beam title of the season with her 9.925 anchor routine.
  • With three routines scoring 9.900 or better in the Cardinal's win at Clemson, Roberts was honored as the ACC's Specialist of the Week Tuesday. The Seattle, Wash. native excelled on vault, bars and floor, winning her second consecutive vault title,  posting her fourth score of 9.900-or-better on bars and matching her season-best routine on floor. The junior has won at least one event title in all but one meet this season and currently sits as the top-ranked vaulter in the conference, as well as the No. 5-ranked bars worker in the ACC and the conference's tied-for-second-best floor performer.
  • Stanford and California meet for the second time this season, last battling in Berkeley in an ACC dual-meet Feb. 7. The Bay Area programs excelled, as California won the matchup by just .150 and the Cardinal posted its season-best team score of 197.400. Stanford and UC Davis also compete together for the second time in 2025, as both the Aggies and Cardinal competed at the Washington Quad Meet in Seattle, Wash. Jan. 10. Stanford brought home the top finish at its season-opening competition, earning a team total of 195.600. Davis posted a 193.375 to finish fourth overall.
  • Former Pac-12 Conference member Stanford takes on current Pac-12 program Oregon State for the first time in the 2025 season. Last year, when the two programs met in Corvallis, Ore., then-No. 19 Oregon State bested the Cardinal 197.100-196.600 inside Gill Coliseum. Then-junior Anapaula Gutierrez brought home the vault title with a career-best 9.950.
  • Through seven outings, Stanford gymnasts have secured 26 of 35 possible (including all-around) individual event titles (including ties), or 74.2% of the total individual top awards so far in the 2025 season.
  • Stanford sits in a great position to continue to grow its NQS throughout the rest of the 2025 season. Including Friday's home meet, the Cardinal competes five more times before the NCAA Regional Championship selections are made, including three away meets. NQS averages a program's top six scores, dropping the highest, with the caveat that three of the counted scores must have been earned on the road. As of Week 8 of NCAA competition, the Cardinal only has one locked-in score to its NQS total and can replace up to five of the scores before the regional section show.
  • The Cardinal's NQS through seven competitions-- 196.830
    • 197.400 at Berkeley (Away)- dropped (highest score), only locked in total to Stanford's NQS
    • 197.250 vs. UNC (Home)
    • 197.025 vs. NC State (Home)
    • 196.925 at Clemson (Away)
    • 196.775 at Southern Utah (Away)
    • 196.175 at Pitt (Away)
