Gutierrez Honored as ACC Specialist of the Week

Gutierrez earns her first weekly honor from the ACC and of the 2025 season and the second of her career

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Stanford women’s gymnastics senior Anapaula Gutierrez won her first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Weekly Award of the 2025 season, the conference announced Tuesday. After Stanford's strong performance at No. 3 UCLA, Gutierrez was named the conference's Specialist of the Week.

Gutierrez set the tone on Sunday evening for the Cardinal, leading off on bars and matching her career-best score of 9.925 in the first routine of the meet for Stanford. Her efforts guided a Cardinal bars rotation that earned the team's tied-for-third-best score of the year, 49.350, and continued a streak of the Highlands Ranch, Colo. native posting no lower than a 9.700 on the apparatus dating back to Feb. 19, 2022 of her freshman season.

In the same meet, she posted Stanford's best vault score of the evening, sticking her Yurchenko 1.5 for a score of 9.875. The senior ranks as the conference's seventh-best vaulter and tied-for-eighth best bars worker.

Stanford wraps up the regular season with a two-meet weekend, hosting No. 18 Denver for senior night March 14 at 6 p.m. before traveling across the bay to compete in the Haas Quad Meet #2 Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m.
