STANFORD, Calif. – Theo Snoey had a match-high 19 kills to lead No. 12 Stanford in a 25-22, 25-23, 25-23 win over Menlo College, Saturday, at Maples Pavilion.
Stanford (9-10, 2-4 MPSF) swept the Oaks (7-12, 1-5 MPSF) for a second consecutive night, playing in Atherton on Friday. The Cardinal hit .395 as a team – its second-highest output of the season, and finished with 46 kills, 22 digs, five aces and 8.0 blocks.
Snoey’s 19 kills were tied for the most in a three-set match this season with Moses Wagner (Jan. 11 vs. Ball State). The outside hitter hit a season-high .548 and had two digs, two blocks and two assists. In the two matches versus the Oaks, Snoey averaged 5.67 kills on .526 hitting and 6.25 points per set.

Setter Theoren Brouillette tallied 42 assists, four digs, two aces and a block. Freshmen liberos Evan Porter and Kai Schmitt combined for five digs.

Opposite Moses Wagner registered 13 kills on a .360 attack percentage, four digs and three blocks. Outside hitter Ryan DuRoss, who made his third straight start, turned in seven kills, two aces, two blocks and a match-best five digs.

Middle blocker Luke McFall had a match-high five blocks to go with three kills and an ace. Freshman Kaumana Carreira added four kills and two blocks.
Sophomore Carson Kneisl came off the bench to serve in all three sets. With Stanford trailing 22-20 in the second frame, Kneisl served four straight points to give the Cardinal the lead. For the match, there were 35 tie scores and 15 lead changes.
Menlo was led by outside hitter Ty Carson’s nine kills on .333 hitting, two blocks and an ace. Middle blocker Gabriel Knittel chipped in with seven kills on 11 errorless swings to hit .636.
Stanford hits the road next week, traveling to No. 7 BYU on Thursday and Friday. Both matches are slated for 6 p.m. PT on B1G+ and BYUtv.
