STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford football has added two new transfers at the beginning of spring practice. Fifth-year running back Tuna Altahir (Eastern Washington) and fifth-year tight end Brendan Doyle (Memphis) both join the Cardinal this spring and provide immediate depth at their respective positions.

Prior to Stanford
- Spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Eastern Washington University, appearing in 36 games and making 29 starts at running back
- Compiled 1,702 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns during his four years, adding 38 receptions for 239 yards and an additional five touchdowns
- Burst onto the scene his final two seasons, totalling 1,440 yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns
- Finished tenth in Big Sky in rushing yards in 2024 as a redshirt junior with 718 yards
- Posted a career-best 153 rushing yards on 23 carries and two total touchdowns as a redshirt freshman against Northern Colorado (Nov. 19, 2022)
- Two-time Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team (2022-23)
- Had five multi-touchdown games for the Eagles, including a three-touchdown performance against Cal Poly (Nov. 4, 2023)
- Played his high school football at Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, Wash. for head coach Scott Biglin
- Earned four varsity letters (2018-21)
- Two-time First Team All-State (2019, 2021)
- Two-time MCC Player of the Year (2019, 2021)
- Also earned All-Mid Columbia Conference honors at defensive back

- Son of Wahiba Tutu and Samuel Tahir
- Has two older sisters (Jaclin and Josephin) and two younger brothers (Gabe and Jeremiah)
- First generation college student in his family

Prior to Stanford
- Spent the 2023-24 seasons at the University of Memphis, appearing in 26 games for the Tigers
- Totaled 20 receptions for 139 yards, with seven of his 20 catches resulting in touchdowns
- Scored his first touchdown as a Tiger against UAB on a seven-yard reception (Oct. 21, 2023)
- Recorded his only multi-touchdown game on two catches against South Florida (Nov. 4, 2023)
- Began his 2024 season with touchdowns in consecutive games against North Alabama (Aug. 31) and Troy (Sept. 7)
- Spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at the College of San Mateo
- Caught five touchdowns on just 16 passes in 2022, recording 253 receiving yards
- Played his high school football at Monte Vista Christian in Watsonville, Calif. for head coach Jeremiah Williams
- Spent all four years on the varsity football team, as well as three seasons of varsity basketball and one year of varsity baseball
