Conference Check-In » With two more weekends of ACC action, the Cardinal sits just outside of a top-four finish

The top four seeds in the regular season all earn a first-round bye at the conference tournament next month. Stanford owns an 11-7 record in conference play, and is currently in a logjam of teams in the three through seven spots.

Power Surge » The Cardinal has hit the ball with plenty of power in 2025. Through 41 games, the team boasts a program-record 82 home runs. The total is the 6th-most in the NCAA and 2nd-most in the ACC. Last season, in 57 games, Stanford hit 56 – then the second-most in a season in program history.

The home run total and per-game average are both in the top six in the NCAA, and the second-best in the ACC. The 82 homers have come from 12 different players, including first-career home runs from River Mahler and Ella Murchison. Taryn Kern leads the team with 18 long balls on the season. In the last seven games, the Cardinal has hit 26 homers.

Taryn it up at the Plate » Kern has been crushing at the plate in her second season on The Farm, leading the team in home runs (18) and slugging percentage (.849). The home run total is the ninth-best in the country, and second-best in the ACC. Kern's 18 home runs are the second-most by a Cardinal batter in program history, and the most in a season since 2008.

The Cardinal's leadoff hitter, Kern leads the team in runs scored (47), as well as total bases (107). The slugging percentage is good for the second-best in the ACC, and 32nd in the NCAA.

Can't Catch Kyra » Junior Kyra Chan has been on fire for the last month, entering this week on a 19-game hitting streak. The streak is the longest by a Cardinal hitter since at least 2011. Chan is third on the team with a .413 batting average, and is tied for the second-most RBI with 40. Chan has picked up 52 hits this season, the third-most on the team.

RBI Machine » Sophomore Jade Berry leads the team in RBI with 45, eclipsing her mark from last season (38) which was the second most on the team. Berry is slashing .336/.421/.712 on the year with a 1.133 OPS. The sophomore is tied for second on the team with 11 home runs, passing her season total from 2024 (seven in 67 games).
