STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford men’s golf continues its season having been selected as the No. 7 seed in the regional rounds of the 2025 NCAA DI Men’s Golf Championships as announced by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.
Stanford heads back to the east coast following its debut in the ACC Men’s Golf Championships last week, making the trip to the Amherst, Va., regional hosted by Liberty at the Poplar Grove Golf Club. Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted from May 12-14. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals (not on those teams). The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the finals. Team and individual championship titles will be decided at the NCAA Championships from May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Stanford is coming off a hard-fought finish at the ACC Championships, placing 13th in one of the top conferences in the country for men’s golf. Nathan Wang earned the highest finish for the Cardinal, shooting 2-under to finish tied for 17th overall and claim his fourth top-20 finish of the season.
Stanford returns to the postseason having made it to the final rounds of the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships a season ago, just missing the cut after three rounds of stroke play at 41-over and tied for 20th overall. Karl Vilips advanced individually for the Cardinal, placing tied-8th at 1-under through the weekend.
