PHOENIX – Stanford men’s basketball has announced its second neutral site event for the 2025-26 season, as it will face former Pac-12 foe Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 20 in the Hall of Fame Series Phoenix, at PHX Arena, home of the Phoenix Suns.
The event, which is operated by Position Sports and the Basketball Hall of Fame, is part of a doubleheader along with Arizona vs. San Diego State. The game time and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Hall of Fame Series Phoenix,” said Kyle Smith, the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball. “Colorado has been one of the best programs in the West over the last decade. They have had great postseason success and have produced several NBA draft picks, and they are a familiar foe from the Pac-12. They are led by a distinguished and honored coach who does things the right way in Tad Boyle, and we are excited to face them in Phoenix.”
The first neutral site meeting with Colorado since 1951, Stanford trails the Buffaloes in the all-time series, 11-20. The Cardinal’s most recent win came on March 1, 2020.
The Cardinal finished the 2024-25 season, the first under Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball Kyle Smith, at 21-14 overall, marking its most victories since 2014-15 while matching a program record with 17 wins at Maples Pavilion.
