STANFORD, Calif. - Knowles Family Director of Women's Soccer Paul Ratcliffe has added another high-profile player to an already stellar signing class for the 2026 season, announcing the addition of forward Ava Harrison.
Harrison, the sister of former Cardinal Nya Harrison, is a two-time State Cup Champion while playing with San Diego Surf Soccer Club. The native of San Diego, Calif. helped guide her team to a Far West Regional and a National Cup Championship in 2019.
A US Soccer Player Development Program selection in 2021, Harrison has been called into six U.S. Soccer Youth National Team camps throughout the U15-17 age groups, including a pair of U15 European friendlies against Netherlands and Germany in 2022, and the 2022 U15 Concacaf Championship where she helped guide the Americans to the title.
The three-time ECNL Southwest All-Conference honoree was also a member of the 2021 SOCAL id2 Selection Program, a 2020 Farwest Regional ODP Champion and was twice selected for USYNT ID Center camps in 2021 and 2024.
Including Harrison, the now eight-player incoming class will look to help build off a 2024 season that saw Stanford reach the College Cup for the second consecutive year. Caroline Birkel and Lily Freer are already training with the Cardinal after enrolling early this winter, while Amelia Bray, Brooke Holden, Noe Johnson, Y-Lan Nguyen and Alex Tay will accompany Harrison to The Farm this coming fall.
