Five All-American Scholar Team Golfers

Stanford has earned 32 since the 2019-20 season.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Five Stanford women’s golfers were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Monday morning.

Megha Ganne, Paula Martín Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, Nora Sundberg, and Kelly Xu were all honored by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. Ganne leads the way for the Cardinal with her third overall selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, while Martín Sampedro and Xu earn their second. This gives Stanford 32 members on the All-American Scholar Team since the 2019-20 season.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of golfers. To be selected, a student-athlete must:

  • Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
  • Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
  • Have played in 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
