STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 4 Stanford Cardinal is on the road again this weekend, taking a 3-0 record to southern California for a pair of top-20 matchups.

The Card opens the trip with a neutral site bout against No. 19 UCSB, hosted by Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks. The team presses on to La Jolla, where No. 13 UCSD will be waiting for a Sunday matchup.

Stanford already boasts a pair of ranked wins to start 2025, beating No. 16 LMU on August 30 and No. 10 UC Davis last weekend.


VET IN THE CAGE » Temkin returns in the cage after a Second Team All-America and First Team All-MPSF season in 2024. The senior was at his best in big games last season, stopping 16 shots in the MPSF third-place game, and eight in the NCAA Championship quarterfinal against No. 5 Princeton.

BACK FOR YEAR TWO » The sophomore class returns after a strong first season on The Farm. Ryan OhlBotond BaloghBen Forer and Will Schneider combined for 120 points (79 goals 41 assists). Schneider was named an All-MPSF honorable mention pick after the season.

The class has already started hot in 2025, with Balogh (11) and Max Zelikov (9) owning the top spots on the team in points.

SUMMER ABROAD » Ohl and junior Alex Gheorghe each competed at the World Aquatics World Championships in Croatia this summer. Ohl represented the US, while Gheorghe competed for Romania.
