STANFORD, Calif. — Three former Stanford standouts found the end zone during the second week of the 2025 NFL Season, with Cardinal making an impact from Thursday through Monday. Heading into Week 3, Stanford can claim the NFL’s leading tackler (Bobby Okereke) and the running back with the most receptions (Christian McCaffrey).
Below is a breakdown of each performance by a former Cardinal in Week 2:
Green Bay Packers 27, Washington Commanders 18
- Zach Ertz (TE): Finished as Washington’s leading receiver in Week 2, with six receptions for 64 yards…caught a 20-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for his second touchdown in as many weeks…has touchdowns in consecutive games for the third time in his tenure with Washington…one of three tight ends with two touchdowns this season (Davis Allen – LAR, Tucker Kraft – GB).
Cincinnati Bengals 31, Jacksonville Jaguars 27
- Walker Little (OL): Started at left tackle and played all 71 offensive snaps for Jacksonville in Week 2…earned the sixth-best run blocking grade on PFF (81.3) for the week among starting tackles, helping the Jaguars average 5.1 yards per carry.
Dallas Cowboys 40, New York Giants 37 (OT)
- Solomon Thomas (DT): Tied for third on the Cowboys in total tackles with seven in their overtime win…recorded his first quarterback hit of the season…earned the third-best run defense grade on PFF (82.2) across all defensive linemen for Week 2.
- Paulson Adebo (CB): Led the Giants in tackles against the Cowboys with 13, a new career-best…recorded one pass breakup of Dak Prescott.
- Bobby Okereke (LB): Recorded 10 tackles for New York, his second game in a row with at least 10 tackles…paces the NFL in tackles with 26 through two weeks…added two quarterback hits and one hurry.
Detroit Lions 52, Chicago Bears 21
- Drew Dalman (OL): Started at center for Chicago and played all 68 offensive snaps…allowed one pressure on 41 drop-backs.
Los Angeles Rams 33, Tennessee Titans 19
- Joshua Karty (K): Went 3-4 on extra points and made his first two field goal attempts of the season in the Rams’ win…both field goals came from 21 yards out.
- Elic Ayomanor (WR): Started at wide receiver and caught four passes for 56 yards for Tennessee…scored his first NFL touchdown on a nine-yard pass from Cam Ward, which was also his first touchdown pass…just a few plays before the touchdown, caught a pass pinned against the defender’s helmet, reminiscent of his catch at Colorado while with Stanford in 2023…tied for the team lead in catches (4) and targets (6).

New England Patriots 33, Miami Dolphins 27
- Austin Hooper (TE): Started at tight end for the Patriots and finished second on the team with 38 receiving yards, hauling in three passes…was the only non-running back to record more than 35 yards receiving for New England in the win.
- Jake Bailey (P): Punted twice for the Dolphins, averaging 44.0 yards per punt, landing one inside the 20-yard line…held on three successful extra points and two made field goals.
San Francisco 49ers 26, New Orleans Saints 21
- Christian McCaffrey (RB): Carried the ball 13 times for 55 yards and added six receptions (most on SF) for 52 yards as San Francisco improved to 2-0…caught a seven-yard pass from Mac Jones before the end of the first half for his first touchdown since Super Bowl LVIII…tied for fifth in the NFL and leads all running backs in receptions (15).
- Curtis Robinson (LB): Played 17 special teams snaps for the 49ers.
- Justin Reid (S): Started and recorded five solo tackles for New Orleans, adding one pass breakup.

Buffalo Bills 30, New York Jets 10
- Harrison Phillips (DT): Started for the Jets and recorded four tackles with one quarterback hurry.
Arizona Cardinals 27, Carolina Panthers 22
- Michael Wilson (WR): Caught an 11-yard touchdown with four seconds remaining in the second half to put Arizona on top 20-3 going into halftime…the touchdown is his first of 2025 and the eighth of his career.
- Elijah Higgins (TE): Hauled in two passes for 45 yards in the Cardinals’ win…the 45 receiving yards are a new career-high…both receptions came on Arizona’s final scoring drive of the game in the third quarter.
- Simi Fehoko (WR): Made his Arizona debut and played 13 special teams snaps.
- Brycen Tremayne (WR): Caught three passes for 48 yards for Carolina…set new career-highs in catches and receiving yards.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20, Houston Texans 19
- Dalton Schultz (TE): Saw four targets and caught three passes for 29 yards as the starting tight end for Houston.
Los Angeles Chargers 20, Las Vegas Raiders 9
- Kendall Williamson (S): Played 11 special teams snaps for the Chargers.
- Kyu Blu Kelly (CB): Started for the second straight game for the Raiders and recorded two tackles, including a tackle-for-loss on a fourth-and-one…added one pass defended.
- Thomas Booker (DT): Drew the start for Las Vegas and recorded one tackle on 38 snaps.
Did not play in Week 2: Ethan Bonner (MIA), Tucker Fisk (LAC), Tanner McKee (PHI), Davis Mills (HOU), Colby Parkinson (LAR), Andrus Peat (PIT), Foster Sarell (LAC)
