Stanford in the NFL: Week 3 Recap

Elic Ayomanor scored for the second week in a row.

STANFORD, Calif. — Elic Ayomanor continues to find the end zone for the Tennessee Titans, while Christian McCaffrey’s 49ers are 3-0 and atop the NFC West following an eventful Week 3 in the NFL. 25 former Stanford standouts played in Week 3, and 16 started, the most in a single week in the early part of the season.

Below is a breakdown of each performance by a former Cardinal in Week 3:

Buffalo Bills 31, Miami Dolphins 21

  • Ethan Bonner (MIA): Made his 2025 debut and played in his eighth NFL game on Thursday night…played in 14 special teams snaps and one defensive snap at cornerback.
  • Jake Bailey (MIA): Punted five times for an average of 50.0 yards, including a long of 56 (season-long)…net average for the season is tied for eighth best in the NFL (43.9)…held on three successful extra points.

Indianapolis Colts 41, Tennessee Titans 20

  • Elic Ayomanor (TEN): Started at wide receiver and caught four passes for 38 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown from Cam Ward…his second touchdown in as many weeks…had the second-most receiving yards for Tennessee in Week 3.

Pittsburgh Steelers 21, New England Patriots 14

    • Austin Hooper (NE): Started for the second-straight week for the Patriots and caught two of his three targets for 28 yards…tied for third on the team in receiving yards…no wide receiver on the team had more receiving yards than Hooper.

Philadelphia Eagles 33, Los Angeles Rams 26

    • Joshua Karty (LAR): Made four of six field goal attempts and converted two successful extra points…connected on field goals of 51, 28, 33, and 46 yards in the first half to put the Rams up 19-7…on kickoffs, caused multiple Philadelphia muffs after line drive kicks that landed inside the landing zone.
    • Colby Parkinson (LAR): Played 21 offensive snaps and six special teams snaps.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29, New York Jets 27

    • Harrison Phillips (NYJ): Recorded five tackles, including one solo tackle…teamed up with Quincy Williams for a half-sack, his first as a Jet.

Washington Commanders 41, Las Vegas Raiders 24

    • Zach Ertz (WAS): Caught all three of his targets for 38 yards as the team’s starting tight end…one of five tight ends in the league with multiple touchdowns through three games.
    • Kyu Blu Kelly (LV): Drew his third consecutive start and recorded five tackles and a pass defended…recovered a fumble that was forced by former Cardinal Thomas Booker for his first career fumble recovery.
    • Thomas Booker (LV): Drew his third consecutive start and recorded three tackles, including two solo tackles…forced a Marcus Mariota fumble that was recovered by former Cardinal Kyu Blu Kelly for his first career forced fumble.

Carolina Panthers 30, Atlanta Falcons 0

      • Brycen Tremayne (CAR): Started for the first time in his career…caught both of his targets for 15 yards in Carolina’s blowout win.

Jacksonville Jaguars 17, Houston Texans 10

      • Walker Little (JAX): Started at left tackle and played all 70 offensive snaps in the Jaguars’ divisional win.
      • Dalton Schultz (HOU): Finished second on the Texans in receiving yards with 39, catching five of his six targets…most catches in a game since Week 16 of 2024.

Los Angeles Chargers 23, Denver Broncos 20

      • Tucker Fisk (LAC): Drew his first start of 2025 and the eight of his NFL career and saw one target on offense.
      • Kendall Williamson (LAC): Saw 19 snaps on special teams.

Seattle Seahawks 44, New Orleans Saints 13

      • Justin Reid (NO): Started for the Saints and played on 52 of 57 defensive snaps, recording four solo tackles…sixth-highest graded player on special teams in Week 3, per PFF.

Chicago Bears 31, Dallas Cowboys 14

      • Drew Dalman (CHI): Started at center and played all 59 snaps in the Bears’ first win of 2025…Chicago’s highest-graded offensive lineman in Week 3, per PFF, and the third-highest graded center in the league for the week.
      • Solomon Thomas (DAL): Played 29 snaps on defense and recorded one assisted tackle.

San Francisco 49ers 16, Arizona Cardinals 15

      • Christian McCaffrey (SF): Hauled in 10 passes for 88 yards to finish as the team’s leading receiver…had his most receptions as a 49er and his most in a game since 2021…also carried the ball 17 times for 52 yards, capping off a 27-touch, 140-yard performance…ranks third in the NFL in receptions…has the third-most total yards in the NFL, trailing only Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson.
      • Curtis Robinson (SF): Appeared in 15 special teams snaps.
      • Elijah Higgins (ARI): Caught his only target for a seven-yard gain.
      • Michael Wilson (ARI): Recorded one reception on two targets for five yards.
      • Simi Fehoko (ARI): Played 16 special teams snaps.

Kansas City Chiefs 22, New York Giants 9

      • Bobby Okereke (NYG): Led the Giants in tackles with eight…leads the NFL in tackles through three weeks (34).
      • Paulson Adebo (NYG): Trailed only Okereke in tackles on the night with seven, including six solo tackles…broke up a Patrick Mahomes pass that was nearly intercepted.
