STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men’s basketball had a strong showing in its first season in the ACC, and the conference slate for its second season was unveiled on Tuesday by the conference.
Season ticket memberships for Stanford's 2025-26 campaign are on sale now! Fans can unlock exclusive discounts, events, and the best seats to watch the Cardinal build on last year's program record-tying 17 wins at Maples Pavilion. Broadcast information and finalized dates for Stanford’s matchups will be announced at a later date.
Stanford, which announced its non-conference slate in August, will begin league action with two games at home, starting with Notre Dame on Dec. 30 or 31 and continuing with Louisville on Friday, Jan. 2. The Cardinal’s first road trip will be to Virginia Tech (Jan. 6 or 7) and Virginia (Jan. 10).
Welcoming two of the sport’s ‘blue bloods’ to Maples Pavilion in back-to-back contests, the Cardinal hosts North Carolina on Tuesday or Wednesday, Jan. 13 or 14, and Duke on Saturday, Jan. 17. The trip will be Duke’s first to Stanford’s campus, though the Cardinal did topple then-No. 1 Duke in Oakland in 2000, and the third for North Carolina.
Stanford’s three-game homestand comes to a close on Saturday, Jan. 24 as the Cardinal welcomes rival California. Stanford has won five consecutive games against the Golden Bears, including a 3-0 record last season in the first under Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball Kyle Smith. The regular season sweep was Stanford’s first over California since 2021, and Stanford went unbeaten against Cal for the first time since 2015.
Returning to the road to finish January, Stanford travels to Miami on Jan. 27 or 28 and Florida State on Jan. 31. Clemson (Feb. 3 or 4) and Georgia Tech (Feb. 7) visit Maples Pavilion in the Cardinal’s penultimate homestand.
The Cardinal closes the ACC slate with five of its last seven games on the road. First, Stanford treks to Boston College (Feb. 10 or 11) and Wake Forest (Feb. 14) before returning to the Bay Area for the return game at California on Saturday, Feb. 21. Stanford closes its regular season home schedule against Pittsburgh (Feb. 24 or 25) and SMU (Feb. 28), and the conference battles conclude for the Cardinal at Notre Dame (March 3 or 4) and NC State (March 7).
The Cardinal finished the 2024-25 season at 21-14 overall, marking its most victories since 2014-15, including 11 wins in the ACC. Stanford returns an ACC-leading 52 percent of its minutes played from a year ago while adding in a pair of highly-touted transfers and a strong freshman class.
