CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Led by Ipar Kurt and Lizzy Andrew, No. 6 Stanford swept Boston College, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22, Friday, at Connell Recreation Center.
Stanford (13-3, 4-1 ACC) hit .327 as a team while holding Boston College (12-5, 1-4 ACC) to a .171 clip. The Cardinal racked up 51 kills, 47 digs and 9.0 blocks. The Eagles finished with 32 kills, 32 digs and 4.0 blocks.
Kurt led all players with 12 kills on .320 hitting, two digs, two blocks and three assists. Andrew added 10 kills on .400 hitting to go with four blocks.
Freshman setter Logan Parks registered 38 assists, five kills, two aces, five digs and four blocks. Freshman libero Spencer Etzler anchored the defense with a match-high 17 digs.
Freshman middle blocker Erika Sayer tallied nine kills on a .583 attack percentage and had five blocks, while senior outside hitter Elia Rubin added seven kills, six digs and a block.
Opposite Jordyn Harvey finished with eight kills, four digs, two blocks and an ace. Defensive specialist Anna Pringle collected a career-high nine digs and an ace, while defensive specialist Koko Kirsch had four digs and an assist.
Boston College was led by Anna Herrington’s nine kills on .571 hitting, while Sam Hoppes’ chipped in with nine kills on .533 hitting. Stanford is now 3-0 all-time against Boston College, including 2-0 in Chestnut Hill.
Stanford closes out the week on Sunday at Syracuse. The Cardinal and Orange square off at 10 a.m. PT on ACCNX.
