STANFORD, Calif. — After making his collegiate debut last week in a double dual against No. 4 California and No. 3 Arizona State, Gunnar Grubbs was named ACC Co-Diver of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Grubbs becomes the second Cardinal diver to win a weekly honor from the ACC after Jack Ryan was named Diver of the Week twice during Stanford’s inaugural season in the ACC. He is the fifth Cardinal overall to win a weekly ACC award, and the first during the 2025-26 season.
A freshman from Palo Alto, Grubbs debuted for the Cardinal against No. 4 California and No. 3 Arizona State in a double dual on Oct. 24 and impressed, winning in 3-meter diving after scoring 382.85, clearing the field with ease, and hitting an NCAA standard in the process. He also took fourth in 1-meter diving, trailing teammate Misha Andriyuk, who placed third.
Stanford heads back to Berkeley on Friday, Nov. 7, for a triple distance meet with the Golden Bears, beginning at 1 p.m.
