STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford sophomore Will Schneider has been named MPSF Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Schneider was dominant in Saturday's 19-10 win over No. 5 Fordham.
Schneider kept the Rams off balance almost all day, drawing eight exclusions to give the Cardinal constant man advantages. Fordham ended the day with 19 exclusions, turning into nine Stanford goals.
Schneider becomes the third-straight Stanford player to earn MPSF Player of the Week honors, joining fellow sophomores Ben Forer and Botond Balogh.
Next up for the No. 3 Cardinal is a southern California weekend, heading on the road for a Saturday game at No. 2 UCLA and a Sunday bout with No. 1 USC. Both games are scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. PT, and will be streamed on Overnght.
