ORLANDO, Fla. – The fall tennis campaign came to a close with the NCAA Doubles Championship, hosted at the USTA National Campus, with Alex Chang and Alex Razeghi reaching the round of 16.
Chang and Razeghi, who have seven doubles wins together this fall, opened the event with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the nation’s 21st ranked pair from Princeton, and a No. 5-8 national seed. The win was the first of the season for the Cardinal tandem over a ranked duo.
The action continued in the round of 16, as Chang and Razeghi faced a pair from Ohio State. Both sets went down to the wire, with a late break point deciding the difference in each set.
Stanford’s fall collegiate season is complete, with the spring season getting underway on Jan. 13 against Saint Mary’s.
